  • We keep the roadmap modular so progress is possible at any level.
  • We publish updates so supporters can see what changed and why.
We also plan a secondary funding round focused on supporting as many free and sliding scale users as possible while covering operating costs.

App polish and refinement

Purpose: Make the app feel calm, friendly, and professional so people trust it and use it consistently.

Scope includes:

  • Visual consistency pass: spacing, typography, buttons, icons, layout
  • Onboarding clarity and copy refinement
  • Loading, error, and empty states that explain what is happening
  • Accessibility basics: tap targets, contrast checks, readable sizing
  • Cross device QA and small bug fixes that impact user confidence

Usability and reliability testing

$3,650

Purpose: Validate that the app stays understandable and reliable for real people, including in stressful or low bandwidth moments.

Scope includes:

  • Test plan and scripts, then 6 to 10 usability sessions
  • Identify friction points and confusing language
  • Accessibility and clarity review of key flows
  • Reliability review of missed check in and alert edge cases
  • Written findings with a prioritized fix list

Organization portal and directory

$4,700

Purpose: Enable organizations to participate in community care through a secure portal and be discoverable as support options.

Scope includes:

  • Organization signup intake and basic profile management
  • Admin review and approval workflow
  • Public directory page with simple search or filtering
  • Access control and permission boundaries
  • Copy review to ensure clarity and consent alignment

Guardian care portal

Purpose: Give caregivers and guardians a secure dashboard to support one or more loved ones with consent and dignity.

Scope includes:

  • Guardian accounts and secure login
  • Consent based linking so a user chooses who can access what
  • Multi person dashboard with last check in status and alert context
  • Read only care packet access, with permission boundaries
  • Optional reassurance notifications when a loved one checks in
  • Revocation, audit logging, and guardrails to prevent surveillance behavior

Security audit

$4,200

Purpose: Reduce real security risk by validating data flow, permissions, and alert surfaces with an independent review.

Scope includes:

  • Threat modeling and review of sensitive workflows
  • Auth and permission checks across endpoints and roles
  • Review of alert delivery surfaces and care packet link behavior
  • Findings report with severity ranking and fixes

Reliability hardening

Purpose: Improve confidence that alerts fire when they should and failure states are visible rather than silent.

Scope includes:

  • Retry logic review and improvements for key calls
  • Logging improvements so failures are diagnosable
  • Monitoring hooks and basic alerting when systems degrade
  • Fail safe defaults for edge cases

Failure mode and disaster review

Purpose: Identify the most important ways the system could fail and reduce harm by addressing those risks early.

Scope includes:

  • Review of missed check in logic and escalation assumptions
  • Edge cases: phone dead, SMS delays, notification permission issues
  • Identify silent failures, false reassurance risks, and escalation gaps
  • Written list of failure modes ranked by severity with mitigations

Legal and policy review

Purpose: Ensure our terms, privacy policy, and SMS consent language match the system’s real behavior in plain language.

Scope includes:

  • Privacy policy alignment review with actual data behavior
  • Terms review for clarity and expectation setting
  • SMS consent wording review for compliance and clarity
  • Contributor and volunteer agreement language for safety and boundaries
